Before we start this course, we will first look at what will be covered during the training.  The course is dived into categories and in each category, there are a number of videos.  You can pause and watch again any video on the course.  We update our courses regularly and you will be able to see the replacement and new videos as they are released.

You work through the course videos in order and to give you an idea of what the course will cover, the categories and videos on this course are:

Firstly, how and when to call medical professionals, who will arrive when you call 999, keeping yourself fit and id tags and bracelets.

This course also includes; accidents and how to avoid them, keeping safe in an emergency, infections control, first aid kits and falls and fall prevention.

Also, we will talk about, the recovery position, fainting, heart attacks, angina and chest pain. Sudden cardiac arrest and CPR, CPR breakdown, choking, AED units, and atrial fibrillation.

Injury and illnesses first aid skills is also another category discussed in this course. This covers; bleeding and cuts, spinal injuries, types of shock and treatment, burns treatment, eye injuries, minor injuries, stroke, diabetes, asthma and allergic reactions.

Finally, we will also cover, first aid on children and first aid on pets.

This course has approximately 2¾ hours’ worth of video footage.
